Amber Library
$99/studio/mo, flat, plus storage

Unlimited clients. The storage meter is the only thing that scales.

The resale math

You pay $99. Bill three clients $50 a month for hosted libraries and you collect $150. It pays for itself at two clients.

4.0 · Storage

The meters, plainly

5.1 · Everything that scales with use

Everything that can scale with use is on this list, and nothing else is.

Managed storageMetered: $25 per TB per month, as counted.
Intelligence ingestAbout 25 hours a month included; $1 per hour after. Caps are soft — you get warned before overage grows, never silently billed past a surprise.
Egress on managed storageBilled at cost, from usage reports, only once the instrumentation exists — and not before. No retroactive charges.
Your own storage, your own meterBring-your-own-storage is $0 from PostLane — but your storage provider bills your account by its own rules, and reading your masters (streaming, proxies, indexing) can register as egress or API usage on your bill, especially on AWS. We'll tell you before any feature does a large read of your bucket.
Honest scope

What is not on this page is not for sale.

The Amber Library's price is direction until it launches. If a feature or a certification is not listed here, assume it is not there yet, and ask.

Questions worth answering.

Who is a seat, and who is free?

Staff are paid seats: the people running the studio day to day. Collaborators are $16 and get scoped access to the work assigned to them. Crew are the people you book for a shoot day, and they are free. Clients are the people outside the studio who review and approve, and they are free too.

Where does my clients' work live?

On storage you own, if you bring your own bucket — masters never have to leave it. Studios are isolated from each other, with automated cross-tenant denial tests in our harness, run before merge. If a certification is not listed on this site, we do not have it yet; ask and we will tell you where it stands.

What does bring your own storage mean?

You connect a storage bucket your studio owns and pays for directly. PostLane reads and writes to it. Your masters never move into our billing, and there is no charge from us for the bytes.

What does the pilot involve?

You start on one real project beside your current tools. The first 30 days are free, then the founder rate. Variable costs, meaning AI usage, transcription minutes, and media storage and processing, are monitored, metered, and billed through at cost. The terms are in the pilot agreement.

Is there anything to migrate?

Not on day one. Starting is small: one project, beside your current tools. And if your masters live in AWS, moving out is free now. Amazon waived exit egress.

See the whole system on a call.

A walkthrough with the founder — not a sales team. Thirty minutes, your questions, the real product.
